Wow!! It's about time! He did play the solos in Sweet Home Alabama!! That out of phase strat tone and his taste in those solos are still one of my favorites!! "Turn it UP"!!

That intro lick to Sweet Home was what turned me on to being a Strat player.Funny thing though, when I finally bought a Strat it wouldnot give me that signature jangley sound in the #2 position. No matter what amp I plugged into it was the same thing. This was back in the late 70s and now all I can figure is that there must have a problem with that center pickup that I was unaware of. My new 2008 American Strat sounds just like I likeit. The only thing with this guitar is getting the action setup like I like it. I recently had to send it off to have the neck replaced, and I asked the lady repairing it how much it would be to have her setup the action like I would like it, and she said that she would add the setup in the warranty claim. She told me she would set mine up to play like hers, which she claims those who come into her shop just love to play, but now I think she may have set it up to the factory standard which I really can't stand. I hate the relief warp they place in the neck claiming that this is the norm for new guitars. Maybe so, but there was a day when you could buy a guitar off the rack and it would have action that was set for speed and ease of play. Now it's like your dancing on high wires when you get one off the rack. Oh well!
