I'd try a boost pedal. I've read that some guys use a boss CS3 and boost the output into the front of the amp to get that fuller tone. Of course you have to have a good, properly biased amp to start with....

If you think it's just a tone problem that you can't change with your amp settings , then perhaps an EQ pedal like a Boss GE-7 might do the trick , they have a Level control on them that can boost your signal + 15 db to give your amps front end some extra drive and it has a 7 band EQ .

Maybe new pups? I love these: http://www.copperheadpickups.com/Clips.htm
Nice balanced output bridge to neck, full and delicious sounding to me. (with '62 Bassman)
And cheap....$50 per.
Good luck!

Get a Keely compressor. You can boost the gain the sustain. Some people run theirs at 12 o'clock. I suggest running both controls at about 2 o'clock. It fattens the tone while keeping the twang thang going on. A Keely ain't cheap, but its a beautiful thing when matched with a Tele.
